Clinics
Umpire Training
CABUA offers a range of umpire training programs using Canada’s National Umpire Certification Program (NUCP) standards and criteria.
The annual training clinics are usually held during a full weekend clinic in April.
In addition, there is a provincially hosted Level 4-5 ‘Super Clinic’ usually held in either Edmonton or Calgary each year.
CABUA also hosts an 18 week Winter Umpire School which operates weekly January through April. This in-depth classroom, bull-pen and field mechanics program is a very effective way to elevate rules knowledge, field positioning and plate work confidence.
Please re-visit this website in the Fall for Winter Umpire School 2012 registration information and also the Spring 2011 NUCP Clinic dates and information.
Baseball umpiring is both challenging and rewarding. CABUA welcomes new recruits seeking to begin their amateur umpiring career or returning veterans seeking to upgrade their skills or NUCP Level.

It is very important that you select a clinic in your district. If you are not certain about which district you are in please contact your Local Little League Umpire in Chief or President to ask. A quick and easy way is D3 is north of downtown and D8 is south of downtown.
